Dr. Cadelo Massimo

From September 1st, Dr. Massimo Cadelo, Specialist in Geriatrics and Neurology, will begin his professional activity at the Leonardo da Vinci Institute. Graduated in 1971, he obtained the Specialization in Gerontology and Geriatrics in 1977 and that in Neurology in 1987. He worked as a hospital medical director since 1974 at the “I Fraticini” INRCA Hospital (Institute of Hospitalization and Scientific Care), whose departments were reabsorbed into the Florence Health Authority in 2004 and since then constitute the Operational Unit of Company Geriatrics. He was Head of the Clinical Electromyography Service before the “I Fraticini” hospital and subsequently belonging to the U.O. of Geriatrics. His last role was Head of the Day Hospital and Geriatric Outpatient Clinics and of the Cognitive Disorders Assessment Unit belonging to the same Operative Unit. For many years he also taught as Contract Professor at the School for Special Purposes for Rehabilitation Therapists, then University Diploma in Physiotherapy, then Degree Course in Physiotherapy of the University of Florence. Within INRCA he has carried out research in the field of neurological re-education. He collaborated with the University Neurological Clinic in research activities in the field of cerebrovascular diseases and cognitive impairment from circulatory damage. He has published on topics in geriatric medicine, neurology, neurological re-education, diseases of the cerebral circulation.In addition to his skills in diseases of the elderly in general, he has developed specific clinical skills in neurological disorders of the elderly, in particular in the field of cognitive impairment (with any behavioral disorders), in the field of movement disorders (for example Parkinson’s disease and the like, Outcomes of Stroke, walking disorders in general) and related functional re-education, in the field of cerebral circulatory disorders.

Dr. Alonzo Attilio

Attilio Alonzo, in addition to the specialization in Otolaryngology from the University of Naples, also obtained a further specialization in Audiology at the University of Florence. Expert in liberating maneuvers for vertigo and in performing vestibular examinations and flexible fibroscopy, during his career he has dedicated himself with particular attention to the causes of deafness and vertigo.

Dr. Armentano Nicola

Born in Maratea on 20-8-62, married to Simona, he is the father of Luca and Anna. By profession a doctor, freelance, specialized in sports traumatology, he is the current secretary of the medical commission of the FIN (Italian Swimming Federation) and member of the medical commission of the LND (National Amateur League). During his long professional career he boasts numerous titles with the national swimming teams and the Italian women’s water polo team, gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics at the 2001 Fukuoka World Championships and at the 2003 European Championships in Ljubljana. Expert of the Ministry of Health 2016 and of Sport 2017, he was a member of the ARS Toscana steering committee. Elected on the PD lists in 2014, in addition to the position of city councilor, he was President of the 4 Commission for Social Policies and Health, Health and Social Services. In July 2018 he was appointed by the Mayor Nardella “Special Advisor for the promotion of healthy lifestyles and health education”
